Covid – 19 Vaccination Program – News issued by The Len Valley Practice

We have some exciting news to share. From Monday 14th December we will be undertaking the Covid-19 vaccination programme from our branch surgery, The Glebe in Harrietsham.

This will be run and managed by The Ridge, Primary Care Network. Len Valley is part of this PCN together with practices in Bearsted, Headcorn, Langley and Sutton Valence.

The administration team from The Ridge PCN will be calling patients that qualify, in order of priority. They will be booking patients in and also the follow up 2nd vaccination after 3 weeks.

PLEASE DO NOT contact the surgery to ask for information, to ask if you qualify or try and book yourself a vaccination. They are unable to access the appointment book. YOU WILL BE CONTACTED.

The vaccine will be offered in age order to:

those aged over 80 years

those aged over 75 years

those aged over 70 years

adults on the NHS shielded patient list

those aged over 65 years

adults under 65 years with long term conditions (a full list is included in national guidance).

Those aged 50-64 will be offered it later.

UNFORTUNATELY IT IS STILL IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANY GROUPS TO BE ABLE TO RESUME MEETING OR TO HAVE ANY EVENTS SO THE MAGAZINE IS STILL WITHOUT A DIARY PAGE  HOPEFULLY WE WILL HAVE NEWS OF EVENTS TAKING PLACE AGAIN SOON, PLEASE LET OUR EDITOR KNOW IF YOU HAVE BOOKED ANY EVENTS SO WE CAN INCLUDE THEM IN THE NEXT EDITION.

The Fish Scheme seeks to help those in need in a variety of ways was set up in the village over forty years ago and thrives today, see History. We assist in providing transport to the surgeries and collect and deliver medication and meet some other essential needs.

If you think we may be able to assist you with transport or other needs, and wish to discuss further please contact our Lift Organisers.

You may be new to the village and would like to consider volunteering for our village scheme.
